SIXTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

 Sixth Week of Teaching Practice (23/01/23 - 28/01/23)


23/01/2023   I was eager and full of curiosity as I entered the classroom. By 9:00, I arrived and went to sign the attendance sheet. I had fourth period today. I used ICT to teach kids in a comfortable classroom setting. I displayed images to them from "The Merchant of Venice." It grabbed the interest of the students.

24/01/23 I reached the school by 9:00. I signed the attendance register. I had substitution period in 8A today. I taught them the portions I taught them in their last class. By 12:00 I went to serve lunch for the students. I left the school by 3:30.

25/01/23 The pupils were putting in extra work in preparation for Republic Day. Practice sessions for various programs were being held.

26/01/23 The school had a colorful Republic Day celebration. The high school student led an assembly in the morning. After that, they were escorted to Chandrashekharan Nair Stadium where they sang national anthems. The pupils sang beautifully. I then boarded a school bus to return to class.The upcoming Saturday is regarded as the school's annual day, and as such, we are informed that we must cooperate with the teaching staffs and will be given certain responsibilities.

27/01/23 Today as usual I reached the school by 8:45. Done the usual routine. I had 7th period today so morning I wrote lesson plans from the coming chapters. Class went well today. My classroom management skills and usage of English language improved to a great extent.

28/01/23 Reached school at 9 am today 28/012023. I was assigned to do an inspection by the high school department today. Along with me Vijitha of our college, Siji of Kumarapuram College, Bijisha of Theophilis College and Dhanya of Kumarapuram had to look after the high school department. As soon as we entered the school, we saw the food court. . All were very happy with the food and drinks. The stage was beautifully decorated. The excitement of the annual day could be seen in those students. The programme began early in the morning.. I do duty after serving lunch. Gate duty seems to be a bit difficult. I had to run around the school while doing gate duty. The cultural programme began at 6.00 pm. MP Rajesh started his work. At the same time, M. L. A. Prashanth, actor Kishore and Binuraj sir, PTA president, principal, professor etc. were present on the dais. The teachers and non-teachers who were given the duty to beautify the school made their special contribution. At the same time, it also happened that some teachers are going to be retire the same year. They were honoured. The programme  continue till late night. At nine o'clock we left the school. 


Today was a good day. Along with the students of the school, we also celebrated the annual day with great joy. It was somewhat difficult to maintain discipline among the students. Still, today was a good day.

 NINTH WEEK 07/08/23 - I reached the school by 8:45am. Today I conducted the achievement test during 6th and 7th period. The students were very serious about the exams. I had breakfast duty today. 08/09/23 - Today I reached the school by 8:30. I went and signed the attendance register and went to serve the morning breakfast for the students. I was feeling very low as there is only one day left for me to finish my teaching practice and I'm really going to miss being here. I had 4th period today. I taught them the format of all the writing discourses that would come for their exams. During the 7th period i taught them if- clause. I also distribute my survey questionnaire among students and teachers today. 09/09/23 - Last and final day of my teaching practice. A journey that I'll never forget. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK SEVEN (24/07/23 - 28/07/23)

 SEVENTH WEEK 24/07/23 - Today I reached the school by 8:45am and signed the register. I met Vincent Sir today. He asked me about the performance of the students. Sir was very kind and friendly to all the trainees and did all the possible things for the success of the students. Today I had 6th period and I had  general observation today. Arun Sir came to our school. He appreciated me for my classroom management skills and was happy with the class. The only thing he pointed out was to be more pleasant in class. 25/07/23 - Today i had my second round option observation. Venna ma'am reached the school on time. I took the last chapter of the unit. Ma'am was really impressed with my class and i was so happy. Today there was some practices going for the SPC students. The SPC students were very active in this school unlike other schools.
